Soviet Recordings was founded in 2008 by Laslo Barkasi, producer at that moment working on his own records with established record labels from US, such as New York based Kult Records and System Recordings. With the specific goal of introducing new names from behind the iron curtain, Soviet Recs grew to an international label with some notable artists in its roster very fast.
The label focused on different genres of EDM, such as Trance and House, to bring you the best from the East. For more trendy music it has Black Caviar, a division for Big Room and Electro. The underground side is presented by another sub-label called Experiment Records, who is responsible for Techno.
Soviet releases were supported by such heavyweights as Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Roger Shah, Deep Dish, Christopher Lawrence, Darude, DJ Vibe, Matt Darey, Judge Jules, Roger Sanchez, Wonderland Avenue, to name a few. Tracks from the label’s catalogue were played on different international online and traditional FM radio-stations, got into more than hundred various compilations, and were placed in the TV-series and Advertising.
